I started working on The series My News in winter 2021-22. At first it was just curiosity to try something continuous, I never thought it would turn into a series. But then my world was divided into “before” and “after”. The series “The News” began while there was still peace in my country. I noticed the reflection in the old TV tube.
It was like an allusion to all the insignificance of the news on real TV, where the simplest things were turned into dirty sensations. Simultaneously, what was reflected in the curved glass of the old TV tube was life itself: real, sincere and without far-fetched ideas. Today, this series has an even deeper meaning for me. What was perceived as a given is now an unattainable luxury for many, and the news itself became a source of pain and tears.
