FotoDoc Festival 2025 Announces Workshop Program

Between November 4 and 8, 2025, FotoDoc Festival returns to the Panamericana School of Art and Design in São Paulo, bringing together photographers, artists, and an audience passionate about the power of documentary imagery. In addition to exhibitions and debates, the event presents a special program of FotoDoc 2025 Workshops, designed for both amateur and professional photographers who wish to deepen their technical, aesthetic, and market knowledge.

There will be 6 in-person workshops, each with 30 spots available, at a cost of 190 BRL. Half of the spots (50%) will be offered as full scholarships, granted based on socioeconomic criteria. Each workshop lasts 2h30 and emphasizes both theoretical and practical content, encouraging the development of authorial projects as well as opportunities for professional engagement.

A look at appropriation, intervention, and colorization in archival images.

The Fiction of the Real – Objectivity, Subjectivity, and the Construction of Portrait Essays
with Paulo Vitale
An exploration of the boundaries between reality and staging in portrait photography.
