Is Another World Possible?
We live in times of uncertainty and sudden change, besieged by an insidious and ever-mutating virus and the specter of a global conflict with unpredictable consequences. In the wake of the pandemic, we found ourselves withdrawn and insecure. Millions lost their jobs, while hundreds of new billionaires emerged. Meanwhile, the climate emergency and environmental disaster continue to press upon us with increasing urgency.
In a post-pandemic future—if it ever arrives—is another world possible? This was the central question that inspired the launch of FotoDoc – Documentary Photography Festival in its first edition.
The event took place at the Panamericana School of Art and Design in São Paulo (SP), Brazil, from November 16 to 19, 2022, with exhibitions remaining open until December 15, 2023—a unique opportunity to bring together photographers and photography enthusiasts!
