The first selected entries for the FotoDoc Photo Contest 2025 have been published on our website! With submissions open until June 30, the contest’s curatorial team evaluates, selects, and publishes entries on a rolling basis.

Selected works are published alongside the photographer’s profile upon payment of a R$ 98 publication fee. The funds collected are allocated to compensating those involved, covering award costs, and promoting the festival.

At the end of the submission period, the FotoDoc Festival Curatorial Team will select 60 finalists, divided into three categories: 30 Highlighted Images, 21 Essays, and 9 Portfolios. All finalists will be featured in the FotoDoc Festival 2025 magazine.

Winners’ Exhibition

A five-member jury will convene in São Paulo (SP) to select the 25 winners, whose works will be showcased in a special exhibition as part of the official program of FotoDoc Festival 2025, scheduled for November at the Panamericana School of Art and Design in São Paulo.

One of the three winning portfolios will be selected by the jury as the grand winner of the FotoDoc Photo Contest 2025. The photographer will receive a custom-designed trophy. If the grand winner resides outside the state of São Paulo, they will also receive a domestic airfare ticket and accommodation to attend the festival as a guest speaker in the Encontros series and receive their trophy in person.
