Where We Live

Children cartwheeling outside a house. Home as a place of safety, freedom and childhood.

Where We Live

Selected in Prêmio Portfólio FotoDoc 2026

Where We Live reflects on home as a shared human experience. Spanning different places and cultures, the series explores how belonging is shaped through everyday spaces. Across distance and difference, home becomes a common language, felt rather than spoken.

Green and pink interior doorway. A home as a form of individual expression.
Home workshop. Home adapted to necessity, shaped by work and use.
Small rural house. Living leaves marks: tools, objects, the evidence of care.
Elder at the hearth, waiting as bread cooks. Home is held through time, sustained by routine and presence.
Brightly painted house with scooter and gate. Belonging is made visible, claimed outwardly through colour and form.
Stone houses in an open landscape. Shelter reduced to its essentials: protection, closeness, survival.
Blue and orange house among trees. Home continues, shaped by memory and the promise of return.
