Hi! I’m José Manuel Martínez Lopez, an electromechanical engineer with an MSc in production engineering. When people ask me what I do for a living, I usually answer that I play with microscopes and teach others to get the most out of their microscopes for money. Since 2011, I have been a microscopy specialist at Química Tech. My photographs have been recognized by institutions such as the Royal Society, the Microscopy Society of America, Optica (OSA), the Biocommunication Association, the American Chemical Society, and the Mexican Association of Microscopy and Microanalysis.
