This photographic essay emerged from my desire to document and honor ancient cultures rapidly transforming in the face of advancing globalization and technology. Through journeys across remote regions, I photographed women from diverse ethnic groups\u2014Pokot, Gabra, Turkana, Samburu, Kayap\u00f3, Yi, Intha, Red Dao, Hmong, Lachi, Giay, Dongria Kondh, and Desia Kondh\u2014who stand as\u00a0great guardians of their peoples<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n

They are the ones preserving, with extraordinary strength, ancestral practices, rituals, and wisdom.
