He is one of the youngest recipients of the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society—the Society’s highest honor for excellence in photographic practice, narrative depth, and creative vision. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts’ MFA Photography program in New York City, Yizhen studied under the mentorship of Alex Webb, a renowned Magnum Photos member.
With over seven years of experience, Yizhen has developed a distinctive style that bridges documentary and street photography with contemporary aesthetics. His work—rooted in natural and ambient light—has earned recognition in international competitions, including the IPA, TIFA, and BIFA, and has been exhibited globally.
