Sayan Biswas

Sayan Biswas, who began his journey in photography by taking pictures with smartphones, has made remarkable strides in the field. His talent was first recognized when he got featured twice on the official Instagram handle of Motorola. This recognition spurred him to invest in a DSLR in 2017, using funds originally intended for his college fees. Over the past eight years, Biswas' work has gained significant acclaim. His photographs have been chosen five times for the National Geographic Editor’s Choice, won the third prize in the coveted Indian Portrait Prize 2024 – organized by Indian Photo Festival, featured on various Instagram handles, and published in leading international photography magazines. Additionally, his work has been showcased in exhibitions in almost every major city of India and also internationally, with exhibitions in Italy, Finland, France, Germany and New Zealand. He has been interviewed extensively by leading photography websites. Despite his success in photography, Biswas continues to balance his artistic pursuits with his professional career as a software engineer. His journey from a smartphone photographer to an internationally recognized artist is a testament to his dedication and talent in the realm of photography and art.
